Prolific and Other Priority Offenders Scheme

Probation and the Police run The Prolific and Other Priority Offenders Scheme (PPO) throughout the county linked to Integrated Offender Management. The Matthew Project PPO link worker is based in Norwich working with those on the resettlement and rehabilitation stage of the scheme.

A large amount of crime such as; Burglary, Robbery, Theft from Vehicles etc. is committed by a small key group of offenders.

There are seven key areas of help that are offered to people on the scheme covering:

• Accommodation
• Finance / Debt management
• Help with Drug & Alcohol misuse
• Physical and mental wellbeing
• Support work for children and families of offenders
• Attitudes and behaviour
• Education training and employment
• Individual cases are managed by a key worker with regular reviews.
