Dry January

In 2017, The Matthew Project will be participating in Dry January!

For one month, we're asking our supporters to shelve the shots, abstain from ale and wind down on the wine all in aid of our work helping individuals and their families to attain a full life free from drugs and alcohol.

Not only will people who struggle with substance misuse benefit from your Dry January but your health and your wealth will also see the positive effects too, it's a win-win-win situation!

Alcohol Concern, who organise Dry January, will be sharing half of funds raised with those who choose to support The Matthew Project through Virgin Money Giving.

To sign up, go to Alcohol Concern's registration page and type in 'The Matthew Project' when prompted.

We will be spearheading Norfolk's 31 days free of alcohol and holding a Norfolk themed mocktail competition... watch this space!

You can also support us by liking and sharing our Facebook page and following and retweeting us on Twitter.

Please note that Dry January is not a medical detox programme and should not be attempted by people with an alcohol dependency problem.

  • A telephone helpline for everyone within Norfolk & Suffolk who need support or have questions on drugs and alcohol.
  • Dynamic education so young people understand the risks of drugs and alcohol.
  • Free, confidential help.
  • Honest, accurate and appropriate information.
  • Support for parents and families of drug or alcohol users.
