Norfolk Mocktail Competition

This Dry January we're challenging everyone to come up with a Norfolk-themed mocktail.

Whether it uses local ingredients or honours a local person, as long as your mocktail idea has a Norfolk connection you're in with a chance of winning a £50 voucher for Dynamic Fitness in Norwich.

Dynamic Fitness is a personal training studio based on Ber Street, Norwich. Their vision is to 'positively change people's lives through their unique personal training, group exercises and fitness events'.

Ross and the team at Dynamic Fitness have been supporting us this Dry January by running classes where some of the proceeds fund our work, giving talks on healthy living and having an 'honesty box' at the studio for anyone who might forget they're undertaking the challenge!

To enter, please send your recipe along with a photo of the mocktail to  or tweet us @matthewproject using the hashtag #norfolkmocktail or post it on our Facebook Page Facebook/matthewprojectcharity (See below for rules.)

Need inspiration? Check out this mocktail recipe from Benedicts restaurant's Richard Bainbridge entitled 'Lavender & Rosemary Spritz' (Which makes use of Norfolk Lavender!)

1l sparkling Water

500 ml Water

120gr Honey

4 tbs dried Lavender

4 sprigs Rosemary

220ml Lemon Juice

(Serves 4)

Place the Water & Honey into a large pot and bring to the boil. Once boiling remove from the heat and add the Lavender and Rosemary. Cover with Clingfilm and allow to infuse for 1 hour (or longer if you are organised) We want it strong in flavour as we are adding extra Water and Lemon Juice. Strain the liquid through a fine sieve or muslin, add the sparkling Water and Lemon Juice and serve over Ice. Garnish with a slice of Lemon, sprig of Lavender and a sprig of Rosemary.
