Plastic 4 Charity - Bank it!

Plastic 4 Charity is a similar scheme you can use to recycle a wider range of plastic materials such as margarine tubs, ice cream tubs, plastic cleaning material bottles etc. A number of Plastic 4 Charity collection banks are already established across Norfolk where you can drop off your plastic materials. Take a look at the Recycling Bank Locations to find out where your closest one is. These banks are collected when they are full and The Matthew Project receives Recycling Credits for the weight of plastic recycled.

How to get involved:

  1. Collect your plastic materials until you have a large bag or box full or see the Tops 4 Charity page to find out how to use your existing plastic cartons to collect other plastics.
  2. Please check our downloadable leaflet for items that can't be recycled, e.g. black plastic food trays, and remove any incorrect items.
  3. Take your bag/box of plastic to one of our recycling banks across Norfolk and put them in the bank (please make this journey part of one you are already planning on taking and don't put any plastic bags in the bank!)
  4. If the bank is nearly full, please call the phone number listed on the bank to arrange for the bank to be collected.
  • The plastic will be collected, weighed and sent for recycling in the UK.
  • The Matthew Project will receive Recycling Credits from Norfolk County Council for the weight of the plastic that is recycled and the money for this will be sent 3 months later.
