Alcohol Group 10.00 - 12.00 on Mondays for 8 weeks (from 16th April) It is a reduction based group for those who want to reduce or become abstinent. Each session is in 2 parts. Part 1 provides information on relevant issues and strategies to reduce alcohol intake, looking at social and emotional triggers, cravings, nutrition and other harm reduction nformation. Part 2 focuses on the individual goals each person is planning to achieve. We aim to help the group gel together and often find that members of the group motivate each other. At the end of the eight weeks there is a quiz to test the service users' knowledge, as well as signposting to help each client move on effectively in their recovery. |
