The Youth Team provides a mobile youth work service called 'Voicebox', offering young people an opportunity to talk informally with skilled members of our team. In an Outreach setting, the agenda is set by young people, and we tend to discuss issues around drugs, alcohol, smoking, sexual health and healthy eating on a regular basis. Having a cup of tea and chatting to our workers on the caravan is a real treat for a lot of young people who would otherwise be hanging around with little else to do.

As part of the Comic Relief alcohol awareness project we can deliver a series of sessions in market downs within a 20-mile radius of Norwich.
Sometimes young people find it difficult to engage with the Police and through The Youth Engagement Project (YEP) we try and work with the young people to encourage better communication and help to build better relationships with the Police. Also, tackling everyday issues facing young people and offering support and advice when needed. These sessions in the past have been funded by district councils, Norfolk Constabulary and other funding sources. |
| 'The Matthew Project can only be congratulated on its work. This partnership working has proved so successful that Norfolk Constabulary will now look to enlist the help of The Matthew Project in other areas that are experiencing problems.
