For over 30 years, the Matthew Project has supported Norfolk people experiencing complex issues as a result of alcohol and substance misuse, and each year we support over 1,000 local people.
We are excited to invite you to a special evening to hear about our innovative new project, and to show how you can become a potential partner in the creation of a new Norfolk recovery centre, Next Steps.
Next Steps will be the first of its kind in Norfolk, providing a safe, welcoming environment, where those in recovery from addiction can build the confidence and skills needed to sustain their recovery. Children who are affected by their parents’ addiction will also receive support through tailored activities at Next Steps.
“The biggest risk to recovery is isolation. There is an absolute need for a centre like this.”
Graeme Malcolm, Services Manager - CGL Norfolk, Adult Substance Misuse Service.
"The Recovery Support Programme has provided me with the coping mechanisms to maintain sobriety, teaching me self-care and worth. To strive for and achieve my goals.”
Jane - Recovery Support Programme Member
The Matthew Project, in partnership with Public Health England, has secured the premises and renovated part of the building, but now we need your help to complete the final stage of Next Steps.
Come and see our vision and be part of the centre’s completion, helping to make this space a transformational recovery community centre for Norfolk.
