Norwich Recovery Hub

The Matthew Project, as lead provider in a partnership with Norfolk County Council, have been successful in securing a capital grant from Public Health England to purchase and refurbish a property to become a transformational recovery community centre in Norwich, for people in recovery from substance misuse and the wider community. The recovery centre proposal addresses a huge unmet need in Norfolk.
The Norwich Recovery Hub will provide recovery support for people leaving treatment, in a safe space removed from treatment services, where they can build skills and confidence which will support them to sustain their recovery.

*UPDATE - As of October 2018 The Matthew Project is now settled into the new Recovery Hub premises at 70-80 Oak Street, NR3 3QU.  The hub is currently being developed in phases, initially and throughout October, to accommodate the requirements of the Recovery Support Program (RSP).  This includes the creating of the IT suite, Group Room and Activity workshop.

Phase 2 development includes the main central hub, kitchen and employment & enterprise facilities, creating a full community environment with therapy, skills development and enterprise opportunities.

We will update progress on this project on this page.
