Persimmon Homes Anglia's sponsorship not only helps keep our services running, it also made our Stories of Strength exhibition at Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital possible - a project that breaks down alcohol and substance use stigma, inspiring others to change their lives for the better.
Read on to learn more about Persimmon's donation and the impact it will have for our charity.

Aligning Our Values: Why Persimmon Homes Supports The Matthew Project
Persimmon is committed to building quality homes and creating positive, lasting communities, with values centred on integrity, responsibility, sustainability and supporting the communities in which we build.
Remi Clark, External Affairs Manager at Persimmon, commented:
Our values are reflected in our commitment to making a meaningful difference beyond housebuilding, which is why supporting The Matthew Project, through our Community Champions initiative, was such a natural fit.
We were delighted to support The Matthew Project’s work to improve the lives of vulnerable people through wellbeing, recovery, and prevention services through the Community Champions scheme.
We were thrilled to receive a substantial contribution of £2,000 from Persimmon, one of our valued Corporate Supporters.
Stories of Strength Exhibition

Running until the end of November, this exhibition brings together real-life stories of resilience and recovery from people affected by substance use, offering a deeply human perspective on addiction and recovery.
Visitors can expect to see a moving collection of photographs, written testimonies, and artwork created by people in recovery. The stories can also be viewed here.
Sharing these stories is our attempt to cut through the stigma around mental health and substance use struggles, as well as signposting people to our work.
Donations like Persimmon's enable us to raise awareness for our services, as well as continue broadening our support in East Anglia.
How Donating to The Matthew Project Makes A Difference
Donations of any sizes help us run our services and give back to the local community. They could fund:
Wellbeing activities for young people
Community café for isolated veterans
One-to-one coaching
A place on our eight-week Recovery Support Programme
Creative, social and employability-skills workshops
Debi Sherman, Planning Director, joined us at the Centre to hand over the cheque, and shared why Persimmon Homes supports The Matthew Project:
It was a privilege to meet Dr Cadman and the dedicated team at TMP.
Seeing the facilities and hearing about the impact of their work really demonstrated how important these services are to so many people. We are proud to be able to contribute and support the continuation of their incredible efforts.
