Drug & Alcohol Misuse Awareness Training
Service Description
Offering a more in depth understanding around drug and alcohol misuse, this session is delivered by a qualified and experience Matthew Project staff member. Content includes: A small amount of context A look at why people may use drugs in general (concentrating on Young People if appropriate) Information about types of drugs Indicators of use Street language, emojis, edibles A reminder about operation Gravity Tips on how to respond including AUDIT & DUDIT A brief overview of how the Matthew Project can help Time to ask questions (prior knowledge of questions would be good but not essential and you can ask at any time) This course is delivered at our Norwich Recovery Hub. There is a small fee for room hire. Food and refreshments can be arranged. Alternatively, our trainer can travel to a venue of your choice in Norfolk. Travel costs are calculated at £1/mile from NR3 3AQ. All trainees receive a certificate, have a direct contact within The Matthew Project and receive a regular email newsletter. NB. Content can be tailored to your needs. For example workplace, school, charity, church or community group.
