Starting Salary:                              £13,749 (pro rata of £25,437 per annum)

Hours of Work:                              20 hours per week flexibly to include rotational weekend cover and occasional evenings.

Contract:                                         12-month Fixed Term Contract

The Matthew Project is a value driven charity working across Norfolk giving help and hope through programmes with adults, young people and communities affected by drugs and alcohol.  

 

We have an exciting part-time opportunity to join the Matthew Project as a Cook based at our award-winning Next Steps centre in Norwich.

 

This is a catering role with an expectation of working as an integral part of our adult recovery support team, therefore, experience in this sector will be an advantage.  You will be responsible for the production and service of meals and refreshments, overseeing and supporting our catering volunteers, and providing taught sessions in the kitchen as part of our member’s recovery journey.

 

Duties will include:

  • Maintaining outstanding levels of customer service.

·       Ensuring meals are nutritional and healthy.

·       Menu planning and sourcing ingredients and managing the budget.

  • Maintaining standards of cleanliness, safety and hygiene of the premises and kitchen in all food storage, preparation and service areas.

·       Ensuring kitchen appliances are fit for purpose.
