An Evening of Poetry and Community
Soiree of Stories invites you to an evening of heartfelt poetry and inspiring personal stories. The lineup includes some brilliant performances from our guest poets and members from our community. It’s the perfect winter warmer, offering a chance to gather and reflect.
Your ticket includes a delicious bowl of chili (veggie option available). Barista service is also available.
There will also be a chance to win some fantastic prizes, including a signed copy of Harry Baker's Poetry Anthology and a Bird and Blend Winter Gift Set among others.
All money raised from this event will help to fund our vital work.

Performers
We are very pleased to be welcoming some highly acclaimed guest performers to The Matthew Project for the evening.
Award-winning, acclaimed poet and playwright, James McDermott has written several plays across the country, as well as being widely published for his poetry and being a writer on Eastenders since 2021.
Funny, warm and insightful, James' poetry offers a unique perspective on life, exploring themes of identity and life in Norfolk with wit and emotional depth.
His work spans theatre, television, radio and poetry as well as being a creative writing lecturer at the University of east Anglia.
