Performers
We are very pleased to announce some exciting guest performers for our Soiree of Stories event, including cohosting with the amazing Toast Poetry a local Norwich poetry company with years of experience.

It’s poetry, but not as you know it.
It’s belly laughs, sharp lines and occasionally… tears.
It’s stand-up, storytelling and a bit of shouting in a good way.
TOAST is a live poetry evening that’s funny, emotional and 100% entertaining – even if you think you don’t like poetry.

Lewis Buxton

Born 1993, Lewis Buxton is a writer and performer whose work has appeared in Poetry Review The Rialto and The Independent and won the Winchester Poetry Prize. He is the author of Boy in Various Poses (Nine Arches Press) and Mate Arias (The Emma Press). His one person theatre show ‘FRIEND’ is on tour in 2024-25. He lives in Norfolk.

Not A Horse

Formed in 2024, Not A Horse are guitarist Billy and vocalist Annie, and recently welcomed Simon on percussion to bring the beats! Their original music is heavily influenced by the 90s alt-rock and indie they grew up on, together with sprinkles of metal and pretty much anything else you can think of (apart from country. Billy draws the line there… each to their own!) All three are passionate about music and performing, and their enthusiasm is obvious on stage - it's always an entertaining show!
Jody Lee

Jody Lee, also known as The Skinny Poet, is a powerful voice for recovery and resilience. With lived experience of abuse, homelessness, and addiction, Jody's poetry offers raw honesty and profound insight. Now in active recovery, Jody dedicates his life to helping others, facilitating creative writing and music workshops with Status Creative CIC, and empowering individuals through psychoeducation as a counsellor and workshop facilitator for The Adam Project. Jody's performance promises to be a moving reflection on the journey from darkness to hope.
