Creating a better world for people affected by substance use starts with you.
Fundraising ideas & inspiration
Do you have a passion that you could turn into a fundraising event? Explore our top ideas for how to get stuck in with your favourite hobby while supporting a worthwhile cause.

Do a sponsored walk, cycle, or even canoe!
Whatever your favourite exercise might be, choose a park or scenic route for a lovely day out. The more people you can get involved, the better the outcome!
Run for us
The challenge of running a marathon or half marathon is a great way to raise funds. We've had supporters run on our behalf in both Run Norwich and The Norfolk Marathon and Half Marathon.
Other events include Blickling Marathon and the 2027 Marriott's Way Races, to name a few.

Host a Personal Development Fundraiser
This is your chance to not only do something amazing for others, but to also do something amazing for you.

Set up a food event

If you have any questions on fundraising as an individual, please get in touch with Cheryl at [email protected].
Could you leave a gift in your will?
Big or small, a charitable gift in your will would help us to support people recover from substance use issues, mental health struggles, or lack of access to education and employment.
We know you'll want to take care of your family and friends first, but we hope you might also consider leaving a gift to The Matthew Project.
We suggest you seek legal advice for help with writing a will. If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to Cheryl at [email protected].
We thank you sincerely for considering leaving a gift.
