Are you ex-forces and looking for a challenging and rewarding role?

Are you passionate about recovery from substance misuse?

We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time post working with serving Armed Forces personnel, Veterans, Reservists and their families who have substance misuse issues and PTSD. You will work with individuals, undertaking referrals and assessments, managing a caseload, completing recovery care plans, and providing information, advice, and needle exchange to substance users.

A key responsibility of the role will be to collect data, statistics, and client case stories to support the future funding of the service; therefore, you must be highly organised, with good administrative and report writing skills.

The role is home based with an office available in Norwich when needed. It will involve establishing and overseeing the running of support groups for veterans and their families as well as arranging one-to-one visits in person across the whole of Suffolk, as needed. The ability to travel across the county will therefore be an essential requirement.

This post is restricted to veterans of the Armed Forces and is funded by the Royal British Legion. This contract is funded for 12 months.

The Matthew Project is a value driven charity working across East Anglia giving help and hope through programmes with adults, young people and communities affected by drugs and alcohol. We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, of any faith or none.

The role will require the successful candidate to undertake an enhanced DBS check prior to starting employment.
